(MyFantasyLeague.com Fantasy Times Sources - Dec 28, 2009) In a week 16 TURF Football League MidWest showdown, HEADHUNTER beat a strong Ruckman's All-Pros team by a score of 138 to 101, extending the winning streak for HEADHUNTER to 8 games. With their 138 points, HEADHUNTER is now the proud record-holder of the 20th-highest weekly point total in league history.
HEADHUNTER were led to their 37 point victory by a 29 point effort from Roddy White, who beat the Buffalo Bills defense for 139 receiving yards and 2 receiving TDs. With this performance, White was the number 1 ranked wide receiver for week 16. They also got help from a 23 point effort from Philip Rivers, who got by the Tennessee Titans defense for 264 passing yards and 2 passing TDs.
"We shocked the world," HEADHUNTER coach Justin Davis said.
Ruckman's All-Pros were helped out in a losing cause by a 25 point effort from Adrian Peterson, who got by the Chicago Bears defense for 94 rushing yards and 2 rushing TDs in addition to 43 receiving yards. With this performance, Peterson was the number 4 ranked running back for week 16. They also got help from a 23 point effort from Matt Schaub, who got by the Miami Dolphins defense for 286 passing yards and 2 passing TDs.
"We weren't mentally prepared," Ruckman's All-Pros coach John Ruckman said.
This brings the record for HEADHUNTER to 10-3, and drops Ruckman's All-Pros to a record of 7-6.
